Frequently Asked Questions
What insurances do we accept?
We participate with a variety of insurance plans including:
Blue Cross / Blue Shield Plans
Aetna (PPO, POS, QPOS) Plans
Cigna
United Healthcare
Worker’s Comp
Auto/MVA
Medicare
We also offer a self-pay option for those who have insurances that we do not take or if you have maxed out on your covered visits and would like to continue treatment. Please contact us if you have questions about your insurance- our team will be happy to look up your benefits for physical therapy!
Do I need a referral from my Doctor?
Short answer: NO! Our therapists are able to treat you via DIRECT ACCESS for 30 days without a script from an MD. This can help jump start the rehab process and get you feeling better faster without having to wait for a prescription.
The exception to this is for patients with MEDICARE: you can be seen for an evaluation (initial visit) without a script, but will require a script for any treatments and further visits.
Do i need to have any imaging done before my Appointment?
NO! Because of our thorough examination process we are typically able to pin point the cause of your pain and determine the likelihood of any serious pathology or musculoskeletal injury without any imaging. If we feel that imaging is warranted, we can refer to you to some of the excellent orthopedic doctors that we have worked with over the years. If you do happen to get an x-ray or MRI before your appointment, feel free to bring the written reports with you and we will include these in your chart.
HOw long will my appointments be?
Your initial visit which will be your evaluation usually runs about an hour long, often a little longer if you are coming in for multiple injuries. Follow up visits will generally be about 45-60 minutes, give or take depending on your program and stage of rehabilitation. If you have any time constraints, please let your therapist know and we will make sure to accommodate to your schedule!
Will I be working with the same therapist?
We pride ourselves on our consistency of care which means that we will keep you with the same therapist over the course of your treatment. That being said, we utilize a team approach so that if there is ever a scheduling issue, one of our other therapists will be able to carry out your program and keep you working towards your goals!
